New Research Further Ties Sleep to Good Health

Six years ago research revealed that people who slept only six hours each night were three times more likely to catch a cold than those who slept longer.  Fast forward to 2015 and a new study finds the likelihood of illness is actually four times higher for people who sleep less.

Regardless of the shifting percentage, there is consensus that seven hours of rest is good, while anything less is bad.  Most seem to get that.

For millions of people though the lack of sleep has little to do with schedule.  Rather, it is a result of trouble falling and staying in a restful state.  That’s why sleep aid medications and products are a $32.4B annual business in the US.

The use of self-hypnosis as a tool to facilitate healthy and consistent sleep patterns is one of the most common requests I receive.  I’ve written about the topic on this blog and wanted to share links to a few articles you may find of interest.
