Good Counsel High School Rocks at Its Post Prom

A post prom event is truly a labor of love.  It takes a tremendous amount of work by the parents, administrators and faculty at a school to organize volunteers, raise funds, plan entertainment and host the celebration.

The cause is certainly worthy.  Post proms provide high school students with a fun and safe environment to continue the celebration.

Each year, I donate my time to entertain at post proms hosted by schools in Montgomery County, Maryland.  This season I'm fortunate to be part of the party at 10 different schools, including this past weekend at Our Lady of Good Counsel High School in Olney, Maryland.

I thought I'd share a few photos as the school's administration and parents did an exceptional job to organize what was an awesome event.

Here's a nice Email I received from Good Counsel's principal in recognizing my contribution:

“Thank you both for being with us at Post-Prom. To say you were a “hit” would be an oversimplification and understatement! The feedback on your services has been tremendous. Thank you again for giving of your time to be with us.”

Hypnosis for Empowerment on May 27 in Washington, DC

A widespread misconception about hypnosis is that it involves a loss of control or free will.

Quite the contrary, hypnosis is about empowerment.  Through visualization and suggestion, a person is directs their mind to accept positive outcomes – in work, school, athletic competition, relationships, and/or overall health and wellness.

In fact, the theme of the version of my Hypnotic Experience show I perform at corporate wellness and similar events is “hypnosis for exceptional living.”  Here is a link to a promotional Web site for one of these shows, along with interesting comments from a number of attendees who tried hypnosis.

Does this intrigue you?

I invite you to join me on Saturday, May 27 at the Women Empower Expo at the Washington, DC Convention Center for a very special “Hypnotic Experience” show that will focus on exceptional living.  I’m just one of a myriad of presenters, each of whom will have a unique and interesting take on how a person can achieve success in career and life.

Enter the promotional code “hypnosis” when purchasing a ticket for a discount.  You can also message me directly at m.russell.hausman@gmail.com if you’d like to attend as my guest.  The organizer was kind enough to provide me with a couple of complimentary passes.

Stressed at Work? You're Not Alone.

A recent survey from payroll company Paychex validated something most of us have long suspected – work stresses us out.

Deadlines, weekend requirements, missed family time, dysfunctional relationships with co-workers…it all adds up to 80 percent of respondents feeling overwhelmed.  And that’s not good for our physical and mental health, and overall wellness.

How do we combat stress?

This article published in Forbes magazine offers up some excellent suggestions.  Of most interest to me is the recommendation to “find your inner Buddha.”

Guided meditation, visualization and…yes…self hypnosis…are all wonderful ways to more effectively manage job-related stress.
