The commitment by the Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSA) in the Washington, DC area to provide students with a safe (and fun) environment to celebrate the high school experience is admirable.  That is why for the past decade I have happily donated my time to entertain at after prom events and all night graduation parties.

An Amazing Hypnotic Experience for an Amazing High School

 

 

When donating my time to entertain at a post prom or all night graduation party, I pride myself on being professional, flexible, and easy to work with.  For the parents who organize and host these events to it truly is a labor of love designed to keep students safe as they enjoy an important high school milestone.

I have performed my Hypnotic Experience show in gymnasiums, cafeterias, hallways, and even from a broom closet.  I roll with it.

That’s why I was incredibly appreciative when the folks at Our Lady of Good Counsel high school in Olney, Maryland set up this area for me to perform with custom signage.  It helped me deliver a wonderful series of shows for a creative and engaged group of students.

It's Post Prom and All Night Grad Party Time!

Each spring and early summer I donate my time to entertain at post prom and all night graduation parties (ANGP) hosted by Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSA) at high schools in the Washington, DC area.  This is a fun way to give back to the community, and everyone involved in the event – school administrators, parents, and the students – are very appreciative of my participation.

For more than two decades these events have provided kids with a safe alternative to celebrate a high school milestone.  It is time consuming and expensive to host an event, which is why I make this a priority.

Rave Reviews for the Hypnotic Experience

 

Pre-show excitement!  Poolesville High School included the Hypnotic Experience at their senior event hosted at Calleva in Dickerson, MD.

Flexibility is paramount when it comes to performing my Hypnotic Experience for high schools during this year's Post Prom and All Night Graduation Party season.  With COVID health protocols to be followed and logistics constantly shifting, it is important to just roll with it.  The focus is always making sure the students have a wonderful time.

Thanks to the PTSAs at Magruder High School, Walter Johnson High School, and Poolesville High School for including me as part of the entertainment at their events this weekend.  It is amazing when I receive such positive feedback from a PTSA rep and event organizer.

Let’s Get Hypnotized - Health Protocols for High School Post Prom and Graduation Celebrations

This time last year I was committed to entertain at 14 high school post prom and all night graduation parties in the Washington, DC area.  For the past 10 years I have donated my time to Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSA) as it is often a challenge to raise money to fund these fun (and important) events for graduating seniors.

Of course, the onset of the novel coronavirus led to the cancellation of those events.  And as the pandemic has dragged on, this year’s senior class has had to forfeit so many of the wonderful activities that are part of the high school experience.

Hope has arrived and things are starting to change! 

During the past few weeks, I have been contacted by six high school PTSAs that have begun to make plans for an end of year celebration for their seniors.  These events will require flexibility and a strict adherence to safety protocols, depending upon community conditions. 

Am I willing to donate my time to bring hypnotic fun to these events?  You bet!

I have confirmed to each PTSA that, if needed, I can keep volunteers six feet apart, while requiring masks for everyone (including me).  It will certainly create challenges.  Yet, it is a privilege for me to help provide graduates with a fun way to celebrate their senior year.

The current pandemic has derailed plans for high school after prom and all-night graduation parties.  While I recognize millions in the world are suffering through this health and economic catastrophe, I also feel for the students who are deprived of some of the most joyful and memorable activities of the high school experience.
