Last night I had the pleasure and honor of entertaining guests at GreenWheaton’s anniversary gala at Brookside Gardens in Wheaton, MD.
This is a wonderful organization comprised primarily
of volunteers who educate and help businesses and residents in the Wheaton
community adopt environmentally sustainable and friendly practices. There were a number of like-minded groups who
were part of the event, working on similar initiatives in communities such as
Annapolis, Bethesda, Poolesville and Silver Spring.
How did the hypnosis go?
It was a success and very much in line with
expectations. Rather than a stage show,
I worked the room and engaged small groups of guests in a discussion about the
health and wellness benefits of positive visualization. My message was right in step with the
philosophy of being green.
I took those who were interested through a simple
hypnotic induction, focusing on themes of stress management, confidence and
positive feelings.
It was loud with music and chatter, so no one really
achieved a deep level of hypnosis. Yet,
I did receive many compliments from guests and the event organizer – Wendy
Howard of WH Consulting – gave me the “thumbs
up” on my participation at the event.
