Hypnotic Experience Show at the Arlington County Fair

An entertaining talk defines what hypnosis is (and isn't) to establish audience interest.

Specific instructions are provided to volunteers to ensure hypnosis is a positive experience.

Focus on your palm, go deeper and deeper; helps establish a trance-like state.

Shock induction quickly moves volunteers into a deeper state of relaxation.

Even tweens and younger kids can experience hypnosis with the right suggestions.

Let’s Have a Great Time at the Fair

Games, rides and entertainment at the Arlington County Fair.  (Photo source: Arlington County Fair)

I am thrilled to share that my “Hypnotic Experience” show will once again be part of the entertainment at the Arlington County Fair.  This is my fourth year performing at this wonderful community event.

This year I am scheduled to perform on the outdoor stage on Saturday, August 17 from 7 PM to 8 PM.  Please join me for what will be a fun and family-friendly show.  And, best of all, it is absolutely free to attend the fair and enjoy all the entertainment.  (FYI, there is a charge for carnival rides, food and a select group of events.)

If you’d like to reserve tickets for Hypnotic Experience prior to the 17th, visit the event page the Arlington County Fair set up on Facebook here at this link.

5 Most Popular Articles in 2018

In December I take a few moments to review the analytics for the Hypnotic Experience blog.  The insight from reader interest helps me make decisions about the topics to write about in the coming year, as well as the content to share on my Twitter feed.

Here they are…links to the five most popular articles for 2018:

#5 Everyone loves a good county fair.  Lots of search traffic for this article.

#4 Who knew Winston Churchill was a practitioner of hypnosis?

#3 This psychology teacher got out of her comfort zone.

#2 What does it feel like to be hypnotized?  These high school students attempt to answer that question.

They Got Hypnotized at the Arlington County Fair

Hypnosis is a natural state of mind that is defined by focus, concentration, creativity and enhanced suggestability.

What a wonderful weekend at the Arlington County Fair!

I wanted to be sure to thank the entertainment committee for including my Hypnotic Experience show on the indoor stage.  I had an excellent turn-out for the show and a great group of volunteers -- ranging in age from mid 60s to under 10.

Unlike a typical comedy hypnosis show, I focus on the power of positive thinking to help a person realize a happy, healthy and productive life.  I include a couple of jokes and a few entertaining anecdotes, along with a demonstration of hypnosis.

I've included below a couple of photos I captured at the Fair while on-site with my family.

My next community fair appearance is at the Burke Centre Festival in northern Virginia on September 8 and 9.  I'll perform a series of mini-shows during both days of the event and there is no cost to attend.

Chocolate covered frozen cheesecake...yum!  That is a low calorie treat, right? (smile)

Everyone loves the ferris wheel!

Will I See You at the Fair?

I am thrilled to share that I am part of the entertainment at the Arlington County Fair, which kicks off next week at the Thomas Jefferson Community Center in Arlington, VA.  My Hypnotic Experience show is scheduled for Saturday, August 18 at 7 PM on the Indoor Stage.

There is no cost to attend the event which gives you access to all of the music, performances and…of course…the super popular racing piglets.  There is also a midway with rides and games, as well as a wonderful collection of food options.

Message me by Email at m.russell.hausman@gmail.com if you plan to attend.  It will be great so say "hi" before the show.
