Professional Investors Get Hip to Hypnosis for Health

Venture capital funding is the fuel that powers many of emerging technology companies that are re-shaping our world.  That is why I was excited to read this article in Crunchbase that overviews the more than $40M that has been invested in start-ups that are developing online self-hypnosis applications for health and wellness.

Fun Times at High School Post Proms and All Night Graduation Parties

The commitment by the Parent Teacher Student Associations (PTSA) in the Washington, DC area to provide students with a safe (and fun) environment to celebrate the high school experience is admirable.  That is why for the past decade I have happily donated my time to entertain at after prom events and all night graduation parties.

Here is the current list of high schools that I will support this year:

Albert Einstein High School

Annandale High School

Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School

Clarksburg High School

Fairfax High School

Gaithersburg High School

George Marshall High School

Good Counsel High School

James Robinson Jr. Secondary School

Montgomery Blair High School

Northwest High School

Northwood High School

Poolesville High School

South County High School

Walter Johnson High School

W.T. Woodson High School

I have schedule availability in April and in mid-June.  Please reach out if your school is hosting an event for its students and would like to include my “Hypnotic Experience” as entertainment.  I’m reachable by Email at m.russell.hausman@gmail.com

Hello?  Hello?  Why is someone calling me on my shoe?  Photo of a hypnotized volunteer at a post prom hosted by Magruder High School.

Presentations at 12 High Schools in 120 Days

One of the busy (and fun!) times of the year is first semester of the academic calendar.  That's because of the relationships I have with a group of educators who teach at high schools in Montgomery County, Maryland.  They kindly invite me on campus to speak with students about hypnosis as an altered state of consciousness.

Last week was my 12th school visit of the semester as I spent the day at Bethesda Chevy Chase (BCC) High School to guest speak with psychology students.  This was my first time at BCC and the visit with a big-time success.  The kids were engaged in the topic and I attracted an amazing group of volunteers.

Here is what the teacher who hosted me shared about the reaction to my presentation and demonstration of hypnosis:

Marc - thanks again for giving up your day to meet with the Psychology students at BCC. I heard a lot of great feedback from the students throughout the day and after school. Many staff members also commented that kids were talking about the experience in their classes. It was a great way to finish before break.  I look forward to arranging your visit next year.

A visualization exercise demonstrates the power of the subconscious.  I then solicit volunteers who are interested in experiencing a hypnosis induction.
