Talking Hypnosis with High School Students in the DMV

Each academic year I donate my time to speak at high schools in the Washington, DC area to students about hypnosis as an altered state of consciousness.  I have two versions of my talk and demonstration – one that is geared towards psychology students and a second that is more wellness focused for kids enrolled in health.

This fall I’ll be on campus at the following schools:

-Whitman High School
-Churchill High School
-Richard Montgomery High School
-Clarksburg High School
-Sherwood High School
-Northwest High School
-Our Lady of Good Counsel High School
-Charles E. Smith Jewish Day School
-Blake High School

My presentation is timely, informative and entertaining!  Check out the video below of my introductory remarks to psychology students at Northwest High School.

If you are a psychology or health educator and are interested in hosting me as a guest speaker, please get in touch by Email at m.russell.hausman@gmail.com.

Hypnosis for Past Life Regression: Growing in Popularity

Past life regression through hypnosis is growing in popularity.  (Image source: www.tranceformhypnosis.co.uk)

A frequent question I field from people who attend my Hypnotic Experience show is about hypnosis for past life regression.  The issue has been raised a couple of times this summer, which led me to conclude that it was a worthy topic for the blog.

The concept is straightforward:  in the altered state of consciousness produced by hypnosis a person can more vividly experience a prior life.  This experience can be for entertainment purposes or, in certain instances, for therapeutic reasons.  A current phobia or unwanted behavior can possibly be attributed to a situation experienced during this past life.

I’ve learned a couple of visualizations to facilitate past life regression, yet my focus is solely on entertainment.  I will leave the more complex therapy applications to medical professionals.
You can learn more about hypnosis for past life regression here:

People Magazine

“We can debate the metaphysics of past-life regression until we’re all blue in the face, but the point is that it’s a form of therapy regardless, albeit a nontraditional one. If you’re able to uncover, deal with, and feel better about issues you’re facing via past-life regression, then it’s a success, and probably a more fun one than your usual therapy session. “
