Hypnosis continues to go mainstream. On Wednesday, August 7, broadcast network The
CW will debut in the United States a new comedy
game show called Hypnotize Me.
Based on the popular UK show You’re Back in
the Room, Hypnotize Me features physical comedy skits performed by contestants
who have been hypnotized. Situations
include everyday tasks, such as frosting a cake and blowing up balloons. Actor Taye Digg will host.
Some hypnotists frown on these pure-play entertainment
shows because they believe it devalues the role hypnosis can play in helping a
person fulfill life goals. I have a
different view. Any opportunity to get someone
to appreciate the power and influence of their own mind may make them more open
to trying hypnosis.
